I hope this message finds you feeling well and ready to welcome the refreshing energy of spring! I'm excited to share a seasonal tip that can significantly enhance your path to better health: a spring pantry clean-out.

Why Focus on the Pantry?
Your pantry is the heart of your kitchen and, by extension, a core element of your health strategy. It’s often too easy for ultra-processed foods to sneak their way onto our shelves, and while convenient, these items can be detrimental to our healing process. They typically contain additives and preservatives that can trigger inflammation, which can drive autoimmune symptoms.

What to Clear Out?
Take a look through your pantry and consider removing items that contain:
  • Artificial flavors and colors
  • Preservatives and additives
  • Processed sugars and artificial/alternative sweeteners
  • Unhealthy fats like trans fats and seed oils
What to Stock Up On?
Replace them with whole, nutrient-rich foods that support your health:
  • Grass-fed meat sticks and jerky
  • Grain-free crackers and chips
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Herbs and seasonings to flavor your meals naturally
  • Health supporting fats like olive, coconut, and avocado oil
And.. stock your fridge with fresh veggies and fruits.

How to Get Started?
  1. Set a Date: Choose a day this week to dedicate an hour to this task.
  2. Read Labels: Take everything out, check labels, and decide what stays and what goes.
  3. Organize Thoughtfully: As you restock, organize your pantry in a way that makes the healthiest choices the easiest to reach.
I encourage you to see this as more than just cleaning; view it as setting the stage for a health up-level this spring. If you need suggestions on healthier alternatives or have any questions, simply reply to this email.
