Do you eat organic when you can, [Page//First Name]?

I know it takes planning and intention to grocery shop for quality food on a budget.

That's why I am glad that the Environmental Working Group publishes their Clean Fifteen list every year.

The Clean Fifteen is a list of the year's fruits and vegetables with the least amount of pesticides and toxins.

This is the perfect place to save money by forgoing organic and purchasing conventionally grown instead of organic.

For instance, avocados are at the top of the Clean Fifteen list this year.

Right now, at my local grocery store, a conventional medium avocado costs $.99 and a small organic avocado costs $2.00. I buy at least 8 avocados a week.

Buying conventional avocados saves me, on average, $25 a month.

And that's just avocados!

So, while it is important to me to eat the cleanest food possible, I also know that perfection is an illusion.

The key is to reduce our toxin exposure when and where we can to reduce our overall toxic load and support a healthy digestive system.

Most foods that are peeled before cooked or eaten can provide an opportunity for savings.

And using the Clean Fifteen as a resource can include savings in your weekly meal plan.

Take Action

Download your copy of the Clean Fifteen and make a decision about which foods you will purchase conventionally grown. Start saving money right away!
