The airports are packed!  It seems everyone is on the go after a (perhaps too) long hibernation.

Do you have any upcoming travel plans?

People ask me all the time what I eat when I travel.  It is simple, I pack some healthy, hearty snacks and always have a clean protein in my bag.

When it is a longer travel day, I bring a meal as well.

Yes!... REALLY!

I am happy to share some of my "go to's" with you... but remember that we all have our unique, individual diet plan that supports us best.

It is important to adjust accordingly!

In all cases, if you pack nutrient dense foods you can avoid airport food 🤮.

In my carry on, I typically have raw, organic nuts (I am not sensitive) and grass fed beef jerky or meat sticks.

You can substitute turkey sticks or other proteins (like salmon or lamb).  I love The New Primal and Wild Zora as grab and go protein sources.

If it is a shorter flight, I might leave it at that.  If it is a bit longer, I will likely add some raw veggie sticks to munch on, or an apple to eat with the nuts.

Coconut chips, dried fruit (in moderation) and hard boiled eggs, are some client favorites as well.

If it is an international flight (remember those?), I will pack a meal.  It is not as silly as it sounds!

I always bring a large salad (in a to go container) and I keep the dressing on the side, which I put in a small container in my liquids bag.

The salad will stay fresh for a looooong time!  I will bring a packet of wild caught salmon and...voila...a delicious meal is served!

I also always have clean protein (like the salmon and the jerky) in my suitcase as well, because I am a planner. 😂.

It truly only takes a few minutes of preparation to have your food support you on the go!

I will be sharing some of my other favorite travels tips in the coming weeks.  So, stay tuned...

Take Action

Pack your bag!  What are some snacks that you can be sure to bring with you on the go?

Even if you aren't planning air travel in the near future you can be sure to always have something supportive and on plan with you at all times.

Think purse snack, car snack, brief case snack... you get the idea.
