I am often asked what kind of food plan I recommend for healing and optimizing health.

My answer is always the same: It is individual!

But, no matter the specific eating plan, moving to a whole-food-based diet is my universal recommendation.

What do I mean by that?

Exactly what it sounds like... real food that hasn't been processed.  I am not talking about perfection.  But it is the goal to have the bulk of your food intake be nutrient-dense and recognizable by the body as food.

That means that you are eating very little that comes in a package, box, bottle, or bag.

Don't worry!  You don't need to leap to that today.  And even if you feel like you already to that, my absolute first step for everyone is the same:

đź‘“  Read labels đź‘“

...EVERY LABEL...

Everything that you eat that has a label, read the whole label!

This exercise can be eye-opening and becomes necessary as you move to avoid certain inflammatory ingredients.

As the first step, the purpose is two-fold.

First, it will give you an accurate, often eye-opening, idea of exactly what you are putting into your body.

Second, it enables you to create the habit that will allow you to be truly in charge of what you eat and can keep you feeling your best moving forward.

That's it!  Simple, right?!
