You've likely heard that laugher is the best medicine.  But is it true?

YES, IT IS!

I know that sometimes life doesn't seem so funny.  This can feel especially true if you are struggling with chronic illness.  You don't have to be the class clown or a standup comic to use laughter as a healing tool.

I believe that laughter is an essential part of a well-rounded stress management routine.  In fact, most of my clients have regular laughter built into their healing process.

There are many long and short-term health benefits to laughter.  Laughter can strengthen the immune system, improve mood, and reduce pain.  Who doesn't want that?

Laughter can also counter the stress response, and help relax muscles and tension.

The great news is that we can intentionally build laughter into our day!

If I ask you "what makes you laugh'" what comes to mind?

Perhaps it is a funny friend, a pile of puppies, or an old sitcom that you used to love.

Take Action

Plan laughter into your week...or better yet, your day!  Spend time with that funny friend, or take a few moments daily to watch puppy videos, or watch something that makes you laugh.

That's right...watching television can be good for your health if you are intentional about it.

Get the giggles going!

For extra credit:  hit reply and tell me what makes you laugh!
