Did you know that shorting your sleep can actually hinder your weight loss efforts?
It's true!

Research has shown that sleep deprivation can impact our hormones, metabolism, and eating habits in ways that work against our weight loss goals. For instance, lack of sleep can lead to increased levels of ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and decreased levels of leptin (the satiety hormone), causing us to feel hungrier and less satisfied after eating.

Moreover, lack of sleep can impact our metabolism, causing our bodies to burn fewer calories at rest. It can also decrease our insulin sensitivity, which may result in storing more fat.

So, if you're trying to shed a few pounds, it might be a good idea to make sure you're getting enough shut-eye!
I recommend aiming for 7-9 hours of sleep per night for adults.

If you have unwanted pounds that just won't seem to come off, consider up-leveling your sleep.  Be sure to target at least seven hours a night, and be consistent!
