The end of the year is upon us. For so many that means GIGANTIC "To Do" lists.

It is so easy to get run down and overwhelmed in this last several weeks of the year.

We tend to focus on everyone but ourselves, and then pick back up in January.

But… it doesn't have to be that way!!!

The best way to thoroughly enjoy the holiday season is to hyper-focus on your self care.

Really!

Taking some simple steps to prioritize your health and wellness will not only make you feel well, it will likely make the holidays better for everyone you celebrate with.

This is the time of year to make sure we are hitting the basics.

  1. Prioritize your sleep routine to assure you are getting the quantity and quality that best serves you.  This is not the time to compromise!
  2. Stick to your eating plan.  Whatever your current food focus is, stay on plan!  You don't want to feel sick and inflamed while you are trying to enjoy time with friends and family.
  3. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water!  As the weather cools off and schedules get extra busy, it may take more attention to stay well hydrated.
  4. Schedule time to recharge yourself.  Whether you want to go for a walk, read a book, meditate, take a hot bath...be sure to get some time on your calendar to keep yourself fully fueled.

All of these are areas you hear me talk about frequently, and heightening focus on them over the next several weeks will not only keep your immune system happy and supported, but will help you enjoy the season to the fullest.

Take Action

Sleep well, eat well, drink well, and be sure to create some "you time" to stay top of your game this holiday season.

Focus on the basics to create an unexpected up level...and ENJOY!
