Having fun isn’t frivolous!

Having fun has an important role to play in our overall health. Aside from the enjoyment factor, fun is scientifically shown to improve health!

Studies have shown that taking time to relax and enjoy activities you love can help improve your autoimmune expression, reduce symptoms, and make you more resilient against future illness.

Fun activities don't just provide a stress-coping mechanism - they can actually strengthen our immune systems by releasing endorphins which help the body fight disease.

Having fun reduces stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, which can cause inflammation in the body.

It's also been proven that activities such as laughter or dancing not only release endorphins but also increase white blood cell counts - essential for fighting off viral infections.

So, why not take some time out today to do something enjoyable?
Make sure it's something that gives you pleasure - listen to music, go for a walk in nature, find a craft project, or explore a new hobby; whatever works for you!

Take Action

Take a few moments to check in with yourself and ask, "when was the last time I had fun?"  Plan to incorporate some fun in your day.  It doesn't have to be something big...just something enjoyable.  And then do it!

For extra credit, hit reply and let me know what you do (or will do) to have fun.

Have fun!
