Welcome to Take Your Power Back Thursday

Do you know the number one way to succeed on your eating plan?

BE PREPARED!

You might think that I am talking about meal planning and food prep…

And those are important too…

But, my clients that always have snacks and emergency foods with them are the most successful sticking to their plan.

I always have nonperishable snacks in my purse, in my car, in my office.

It may sound funny (especially since I am not really a snacker) but whenever I am caught off guard with scheduling or lack of acceptable food available, I am all set.

My favorite thing to carry is grass fed beef jerky, or meat sticks.

This way I have a good, quality protein source and can grab a salad on the go to make it a meal.

Take Action

Pack yourself some healthy snacks to have with you at all times.

Think quality protein and healthy fats.  Always have more than you think you will need.

Avoid highly processed foods, and anything sugary or inflammatory.

ps. Share your snack photos with me on instagram @julie.michelson
